Martha Sanchez Cannady has been a Vice President and Wealth Management Advisor with Merrill Lynch in Costa Mesa since May 2008. In February 2012, Martha obtained her Certified Financial Planner, CFP® certificate. With over 27 years of experience in the financial services industry, Martha works closely with clients to assist them in financial decisions that determine the quality of their lives and legacies.
Martha began her career in the financial services industry at Spelman & Company in 1990 as a sales assistant. During this time Martha taught personal financial planning classes at Rancho Santiago College, Orange Coast College and Fullerton Community College. After earning her degree in Finance from California State University Fullerton, in 1995 Martha began her career as a financial advisor with Morgan Stanley Dean Witter where she worked until May, 2008. During her career with Morgan Stanley, Martha earned the title of Vice President and Assistant Branch Manager of the Long Beach branch. Martha continued to teach personal financial classes at nearby community colleges including Cerritos College, Downey Adult School and Long Beach Adult School.
Martha and her husband Bruce has been married over twenty years. They are the proud parents of two girls, Katrina and McKenna. Martha’s passion for helping others is reflected in her community service. She is a past board member of the Alzheimer’s Association and is a current advisory board member of Alzheimer’s Orange County.
