Mr. Rick Rodriguez Jr. was born in Los Angeles, California on December 14, 1979. Graduated from Gabrielino High School in June 1998 and entered the United States Army on 27 July 1998. He graduated from Infantryman One Station Unit Training at Fort Benning, Georgia as an Infantryman. In 2003 he changed his MOS to 31B Military Policeman. He attended the Military Police Reclassification Course at Fort Leonard Wood, MO in February of 2003 and graduated in May 2003.

Mr. Rodriguez assignments were A co 1-84th Infantry Regiment, Compton, California from 1998 until 2000. HHC 1-4Infantry Regiment, Hohenfels, Germany from 2000 til 2003.The 4th Military Police Company Fort Hood, Texas from 2003 until 2007. F co 1-34th Infantry Regiment, Fort Jackson, South Carolina from 2007 until 2009.His last Assignment was 401st Military Police Company, Fort Hood, Texas from 2009 until Feb 2012. Throughout his military career, he served in a variety of duty positions including Saw Gunner, RTO, Driver, Team Leader, Squad Leader, Senior Drill Sergeant, Platoon Sergeant, and Operations Sergeant.

Mr. Rodriguez’s education includes the Warrior Leaders Course (Commandant’s List), Military Police Reclassification Course, Advanced Leadership Course, Drill Sergeant School, Equal Opportunity Course, Unit Prevention Leader, Protective Services Training, Combat Lifesavers Course, Combative Courses and instructor. Mr. Rodriguez has a Bachelor of Science in Business from the University of Phoenix.

Mr. Rodriguez’s military achievements include earning the FORSCOM Major General Aubrey “Red” Newman award, Commandant’s List at the Warrior Leaders Course, graduate of Drill Sergeant School (received Drill Sergeant of the Cycle twice), graduate of Protective Services Training, graduate of Equal Opportunity Training, graduate of Combative Courses and instructor. His decorations include the Bronze Star Medal (1 Oak Leaf Cluster) the Meritorious Service Medal(1 Oak Leaf Cluster), the Army Commendation Medal ( 1 Oak Leaf Cluster), the Army Achievement Medal (2 Oak Leaf Cluster), the Army Good Conduct Medal (4th award), the National Defense Service Medal, the Iraqi Campaign Medal ( 2 Campaign Stars), the Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, NATO medal, the Afghanistan Campaign Medal( 1 Campaign Star), the Noncommissioned Officers Professional Development Ribbon (Numeric 2), the Army Service Ribbon, the Overseas Service Ribbon (Numeric 4), the Valorous Unit Award, the Meritorious Unit Commendation(1 Oak Leaf Cluster), the Combat Action Badge, the Drill Sergeant Badge and the Driver Badge. His deployments include two tours in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom (01 and 05) and a deployment in support of Operation Enduring Freedom 10-11.
